newbie direction on basics
Forgive me for my ignorance. I have a ML320 "00" which I just picked up. I tried seaching for these topics, but was not succesful. I need some direction on some basics. How and where is the oil plug and coolant plug to flush the systems. Is there a oil plug in the first place if so where is it located; coolant system, is there a drain plug for that? I'd appreciate any help here. Also, would it suffice to just extract the brake fluid from the reservoir and add new, or should I flush the whole system?

engine oil, dealers usually 'suck' the oil out of the car using a topsider suction device placed into the dipstick. There is a drain plug on the oil pan which i believe is accessible with the V8 ML's, not exactly sure tho (never done it myself).
Cooling system, i think there may be somethin on the bottom of the radiator... not sure.

brake fluid bleeding... i did it the old fashion way of bleeding loads of old dirty fluid at each caliper until i see my fresh Motul clear ones show up.
As for the oil drain ... MBZ made that the worst location for drain becuase you'll make a mess if you don't make a homemade directional funnel. All the oil drains out running pass the sway bar and gets all over the place ... my suggestions .. make something of out of a 2 Liter coke bottle with a tube.

give me a break people ...
Back in 98 I had AMG appearance on this truck before the ML55 came out.
This was my first car when I am 16 years old in highschool. So typical teenage mods were applied ... SL monoblock ... custom cat-back ... eibach in rear ... porterfields ... blah blah blah ... and yes it was waste of money ... but the car grows on you along with the typical ML-problems
Denis.

With all those mods it still doesn't make a AMG, right?
