2002 Ml 320. Problem!! please
I have 2002 Ml 320. Mileage/ 748777 Km.
Drives fine, but I have noticed that on the meter where is shows mileage, as i start the car it beeps and shows tool sign then -400. Now after 2 weeks it is showing -700. It shows this as I start the car only for 10sec then back to normal and shows the mileage. Can any one help with this? What could it be?

What you are seeing is a reminder that your Flexible Service System (FSS) is over due by 400 miles. This was only necessary while under warranty and can now be used to set your oil change intervals.

Oil change intervals were officially extended to 20,000 km, as long as you use an approved MB sheet 229.5 oil (e.g Mobil 1 0W-40) and a polyester fleece filter. If you have these it's safe to allow the FSS counter to overrun by a few thousand kms.
