Question Newbie Questions

1). What is the best source(s) for mats, cargo cover etc. Just bought a used (lease return) ML 430. Need to change the mats and cargo cover ASAP.

2). Also anyone installed Alpine (pop up) NAV/DVD, how do you like it and what was the cost. Installer suggestions in So California??

3). What should the tire pressure for a comfortable ride on the 17 std wheels? [I know its an SUV].

Thanks for your inputs.

1. weathertech.com and performance products sells floor mats.

2. if you have MCS equipped ML, you can add the NAV unit. It is a do it yourself job if you are interested.

3. Tire pressures should be listed in you door frame or on the gasoline filler door. I have a 320 so I am not sure if they are the same.

Don't know about the phone, but the Nav unit is pretty much a plug an play operation. Particularly easy on the 2002. Essentially the steps are as follows:

1. You will need a set of radio keys (about $7) to pull out the MCS.

2. Remove the top and the fake front behind the LCD.

3. Drop in the Nav unit

4. Replace the top and connect the prewired coax to the roof gps antenna.

5. Turn on the unit, enter the radio password, and the unit should be active. Takes a few minutes to orient itself after it locks on to the satellites.

clairparts.com has them for sale. You can also get more information on this if you search through recent appends on the ML forum on www.mbnz.org
