Code 11300 evap vent selanoid/ purge valve?? HELP

Code 11300 evap vent selanoid/ purge valve?? HELP
Thanks in advance for anyone help with this. i drive a 1999 ML320 just hit 200K!! MY check engine light has been on and inspection time came so i figured ill get everything fixed up for inspection. Needed a few things for inspection which i did my slef and then the emissions is where im having issues.
The shop i took it to is a trustworthy shop and they said the benz was throwing a bunch of codes. they reset it and i drove it around and i brought it back to see what the issue is.
They told me it is the "evap vent solenoid" which is above the fuel tank. they wants $400 for P&L to do the work. i can do it myself but problem is i cant find this part ANYWHERE. called the dealership and they dont have a "Evap vent solenoid" in their system. The Mercedes guy told me they have a "PURGE VALE" that goes about the fuel tank for $218 so im kinda assuming this is what i need.
They wouldnt give me a part number as he said they are not allowed to do that over the phone.
Can anyone PLEASE help with an install guide, a map of the fuel system in the rear or a part number or any kind of information on what this part is actually called and where it is located.
I did buy a "purge valve" off ebay and they parts guy told me it was for the rear but i was misinformed and the part i was sent is located in the engine compartment on the drivers side next to the coolant tank.
