throttle cable adjustment

throttle cable adjustment
Hi All,
This is not another complaint about the the crappy throttle assembly on the ml. its well known.
Instead, can anybody tell me how you would go about adjusting (read tightening) the throttle cable.
There's lots of info about lubricating pedal fulcrums and replacing bits and bobs with bolts, but my problem is solved by tightening the cable. which the garage normally does when I ask, but seems stupid to keep going to the garage every 6 months to get it adjusted.
