I went to the dealership today to get my windows fixed, sound in the dashboard and to solve power steering issues, while i was waiting, the dealer showed me a used 2002 ML500 with 38k on it, it does not have a sunroof, but has nav and other stuff, it was offered for $38.5k, then he made me an offer to trade in my 2000 ml320 with 43k and pay a difference of $11900, which means he valued my car at $26.6K, which is not true, a 2000 ml320 is not worth 26K as trade in!!!! does anyone know of a catch or something I need to be aware of. I test drove the car, it is a beast compared to the ml320, i went fast enough that i dropped the dealer tags of it!!!

Any ideas before i seriously consider this?

38K is a rip off...

I bought my ML320 in 2002 with all options and sunroof, with zero miles for 42k. That outrageous if he's selling it to you for 38k with 30 something thousand miles and NO SUNROOF. I'd look around if I were you, not the best deal around...
