Exclamation 99 Ml430 Goes Into Low Range At Highway Speeds

i need some help since my dealer has had my 99 ml430 in the shop 3 times in less than 2 weeks. the vehicle will go into low range at highway speeds. it happened once at 70 mph. this is not the light coming on and flashing, it is the low range engaging and the only way to get it out is to pull over and shut the car off and restart it.

does any one know anything about this?

my dealer has not made any progress. it is covered under my warranty, but the dealer is 90 miles away and i'm getting tired of running back and forth. also we need to travel for the holidays. it may just ruin our christmas if they can't get it right this time.

There is no way your transfer case can shift into low range while you are moving. impossible. What it sounds like tome is your transmission is going into Limp home mode. If that transfer case went into Low range while you were moving it would seize up

I don't see a follow up on this posting; did you resolve this problem, if so what was the problem?
