Fog lamp wire

Can someone please let me know which wire is hot and which one is the ground on the factory fog lamp wire harness. There is an A (brownish) and a B (greenish) and I dont know which one is hot and which is ground?

brown is almost always ground....if you have a meter just check the restance of the brn wire to ground. dont forget you will have to take your ml to a dealer to activate the switch on the dash and the green light in the instrument cluster

I took my ML before installing the lamp and they said that they lamp must be installed before they can activate it. So I installed it last night and used the brown as ground and green as hot. I am taking it to the dealer today to have it activated. Thanks for the info.

AFAIK, the hot wire isn't

greenish, it should be grayish. and yes the brown on MB is always ground
