Reverse lights activation - 99 ML430
Hi,
On our ML (99 430) when going from 'P' to 'R' the reverse lights do not illuminate. If I move the shift lever slightly towards the 'P' position, they do.
Obviously something needs adjusting. Has anyone adjusted the switch for these lights and if so, how? Any input welcomed.

I've never pulled the shifter cover off, but I recall on my other cars there is a simple pressure switch, when shifted into reverse, is activated. It could be that this swithc has malfunctioned. Just my $0.02.
