2003 ML 500 ABS Module Removal
I have the BAS TCS and ABS lights on the dash upon startup. The BRAKE light also comes on the majority of the time after. Sometimes it is after a 2 minutes, other times after 7 minutes. I am trying to remove the ABS module on the ABS pump to look at the solder and test for continuity. The three fasteners that hold the ABS module to the pump are recessed and seem to be 3.5mm. A 4mm socket was to large and a 5/32 SAE also seem slightly large. Has anybody been able to get this module removed on a 2003? I believe the earlier vehicles had a larger, non recessed screw.
Another idea is to test through the wire harness but the harness goes behind the drivers side headlight and up to the fuse box without any connectors. Does anyone one know were the wiring goes?

First of all, what does TCS mean?
Why in heaven's name would you want to remove that module when you have no idea what the problem is. If you break a few of those screws you will have to buy the Brake Pressure regulator.
Look at all the code possibilities that can cause those lights to come on. Buy yourself a scanner that can read ABS,ETS codes and post back with the code numbers.
Also be aware that when the Brake Light comes on it could also mean that you are low on brake fluid.
