Retro Fitting COMAND
I am a new subscriber and based in London so please excuse the repition if this topic has been done to death. However if you could help me out I will gladly share the information after the event !
I have a 2000 ML430 with an Audio 10 head unit and CD player. I have purchased a COMAND unit which is the correct 163 unit. I have already had some advice from other sources on retro fitting but wanted to see if anyone else had carried out this operation and could advise accordingly.
The aerial lead is already linked to the back of the car so I can install an aerial easily, The unit works becauise I have plugged the main 8 pin plug from the head unit into to test.
What happens to the CD changer cable whihc is fibre optic ?
Do I need to do anything with "Speed sensors?"
Any advice greatly recieved before I butcher the car !
