which wire is homelink? Hardwire Radar

Hey all,
I'm lookin' to hardwire a 8500 into our ML...I've done it on my w202, but I tapped into the cig ligher behind the console, so the ML is a lil different

I've seen people tap into the Homelink overhead console area...does anyone know which wire it is or which wire up there will be hot when the key is in the 1 position or the on position? Thanks!

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
i havent tried that method so i cant give exact directions, but, at the hardware store you can get a meter tester...its like 10 bucks...you can tell which cable is constant and which is ignition.

or you can route the cable to the fuse box in engine bay or in footwell for a ground and ignition cable.

the 12v in the footwell is CONSTANT, so for your purposes dont do it. the fuse box in the passenger footwell is very easy to access... turn the two big screws...VOILA!!
