Hi. Just back from a month holiday and my battery must be so flat that the door won't open with the remote. What's alarming though is that it won't open with the key either. It won't turn in the lock. Tried both remotes so it's very unlikely that's the problem. Anyone got any ideas before I smash a window to get in? There's several pints for the winning answer.....

Oil the lock & gently keep trying with the key. Use a oil can with a straw....WD40 will do the trick. It might take you 10-15min of gently trying with the key before, the key turns.....

If you have a tow bar, you can apply 12 V to the trailer socket and power up your remote locking system. If not, you can hook up a 12 V battery to your starter motor, by either lying under your car, or jacking up the front and removing a wheel.
