2002 ML 320

A/C / Heat Problems

2002 ML 320. Purchased 9/2014. A/C used to work great. Heat inoperative at time of purchase. Auto Broker agrees to fix heat.

He replaces stepper motor behind passenger air bag. Also damaged something in air bag circuit. Code light on dash says air bag off.

Upon picking vehicle up noticed load grinding squishy noise from behind dash when engaging heat or A/C.

Auto broker takes vehicle to MBZ dealership to have motor programed. Dealership says Control Head /Module no good.

Broker replaces stepper motor and armature and MBZ dealership replaces control head and programs stepper motor.

Upon pick up a/c and heat work for 1 day. Again loud grinding squishy noise heard from behind dash.

Now no cold air no heat

Airbag off light back on

Please help?

First let me say that if there is no one sitting in the front passenger seat, the light should be illuminated saying Air Bag Off. This means that the passenger air bag will not deploy if you are involved in an accident.

Secondly, the auto broker and the dealer who made these repairs are now responsible for whatever is not working correctly.
