2002 ML350 wont shift out of first gear
Hi
I have a ML350 with auto trans that would not crank when hot.after further diag found that the bulk head conector sleeve on the tranny was leaking oil in the harness.after replacing it it always starts good now but wont shift out of first gear.scaned it with a code reader and got dtc p0702. Scaned it with a scan tool after and got p2065. Cleared it and it comes back adter first start.anybody run i to this before? Any suggestions? I did probably check 10 times after to see if i bend a pin in the conector but i did not.

First of all, the ML 350 was not born until 2003. If your production date is after June- July 2002 then you have a 2003 ML 350.
Secondly, codes P0702 and P2065 are one in the same codes. These codes are only triggered to alert the driver that there is a problem somewhere in the transmission system.
Therefore, you must have a scanner which is able to scan the ETC (Electronic Transmission Control) Module and read out what three digit codes are stored.

Elvis, you are missing the point here. When you get any P code that ends in 0700, it is to alert you that you have a problem in the transmission system.
You must have the 3 digit codes read in the Trans. Control Module. Please read the highlighted area.
