i got it!
Well, I got it. ML 500 black opal, java, cd-changer, m3 and m5 packages, front grille. Wasn't expecting one for over 2 months, and it didn't have the sport, parktronic and bi-xenons. Sport I don't miss, but the parktronic would have been very handy. In the end, you can't argue with 649/mo and 0 down for 39 mos, and full pmt on trade-in for current lease. Now that's a deal!
Went to Globe Motor in Fairfield NJ, got excellent service and drove off with the car. Anyone need to talk to someone there call Anthony, he did his part superbly. Talk about aggressive.
BTW, they had several of the new SL's. I'd seen one in Germany last Dec, but upclose this is a one fine car. This is a nice addition to an ML, only if I had some extra cash lying around. Sweet. Maybe next time...

Wow man thats an awesome deal! how many miles you get per year! You know when i was looking at SUV, checked out the ML320 with a designo and they said 691 per month 39 months iwht tax down!

it's the standard 12k mi/year. It was a showroom model, 7mi on and looked pristine. I was lucky it had everything I wanted so I asked for an offer. The price was very low, that's what made the lease so good. You have to check the parameters on the lease: residual value, money factor and the car price. I was told different things on the phone by different dealers. Sometimes you have to squeeze them for the details. Anthony at Globe was straight up kinda guy, no bs, just good service.
I was willing to wait for a much bigger package with all the options I had in mind, but was told that MB doesn't hold the lease rates for more than 30 days. This sucked since lease rates are definitely going up in 2 months.
The ML55 will have to wait for next time.
