Wiring question
hey all,
I'm looking to hardwire my radar in the ML. I've done it on my w202, which wasn't too bad, just time consuming.
On the ML, in the passanger footwell, there's that 12V socket. That panel is pretty loose...is it easy to pull that piece down or get behind it? I want to tap into the "hot" wire back there...what wire (color) is live? I'm sure there are some screws back there as well for ground.
Or would it be easier to hook it up to the homelink overhead console up there? I'm afraid if I take that apart, i'm going to break something or is it all clips?

I don't know if this will help but this is a Publication I did on ILLUMINATED DOOR SILLS Installation for a 98 ML. It shows the removal of the OVERHEAD CONSOLE.
