BAS/ESP indicator light on
The yellow BAS/ESP indicator light on my dash is on display when the engine is running/i'm driving. I checked the manual and saw all the possible causes for the BAS/ESP light to display. The most likely would be malfunction of the BAS or ESP.
1.) How is the BAS/ESP Checked for malfunction? If this turns out to be true after checking the BAS/ESP, I just want to know ahead of time, is there a replacement part in the car that is responsible for BAS/ESP function? Can this part be purchased aftermarket brand new or can it only be got fairly used.
2.) I am a cautious driver and my brakes are still working fine. If I do nothing about this, is there any critical danger to me and/or the car if the BAS/ESP malfunctioning is not fixed. I read in the manual that the BAS/ESP does not prevent accidents only careful driving does.
