2003 ML 500 WITH 110K MILES , HEAD GASKET DEATH

Well i had been missing my mercedes ml 430 for a long time
so i decided to buy another ml and uprgrade to a 500
the body was a little ruff but for 2500$ i thought it was a good deal
obd scanner was showing me it needed an 02 sensor no big deal right ?
driving it home oil light and coolant light came on
got home added coolant and checked oil found milky substance on the oil cap
After adding coolant i have white smoke coming from exaust
Stupid question , is there anything else it could be ?
I guess im screwed ?

You're not being informative. How much coolant did you add? Did you check the oil level with the dipstick?

I'm afraid that maybe the seller sold you the truck with this problem.

the oil leval actually was fine when ichecked it i added about one and a half quarts of coolant , the strange thing is i drove the car about 75 miles from where i bought it to my house and it never overheated ? also there was never any cylinder misfire code but i will check for codes again this morning i bought the car as a wholesale peice from a mercedes dealer so there is no refund or lemon law

Did the coolant light go off once you added coolant?

You must be absolutely sure that there is no overheating. Switch coolant caps from the S430 to the 500 and let the eng. idle. Then alternate looking at the coolant tank and the Temp. Gauge and see if there is any bubbling and or temp. rise.

If there is bubbling and or temp. rise, do not drive the veh. any further.

Purchase Block Check and follow the instructions. This tool will let you know if there is exhaust fumes entering the coolant and then you will know that you were fleeced by the Mercedes dealer.

The coolant light never came back and coolant leval stayed the same i have been driving the car all day and it never over heated , but the car still has a ton of issues i replaced the 02 sensor today and it still sounds ruff , there is an exhaust leak i hope its not something major , there is a misfire on cylinder three , was told to replace the coil , no sound coming from the navi cd system the front bumper torn as well as rear bumper and the front grill is missing , any body know the cheapest and best way to get a new front grill for this car ? the interior is mint and im now commited to making this car look and drive good again but i am on a budget the only good thing is i have some tools and some knowledge of these cars
