2002 ML500: Am I running hot?

Just bought a 2002 ML500. Has fairly low miles (~83,000). I got it from the original owner. I have all the service records, etc. The only one thing that bothers me right now is how hot it gets at operating temperature. It runs like a dream though, by the way. So I have inserted a picture for you guys to scrutinize. Is this a normal temp for this model? It isn't getting any hotter (yet) than what you see in the image.

Well I checked under the hood before I started it this morning, while the engine was still cold, and the main coolant hose on top (engine to radiator) looked "sucked in", or basically as if it had reverse pressure. I am not sure if that applies to anything. The electric fan in front of the radiator is coming on, for sure. Coolant level is fine, and looks to have the orange OEM stuff in it. I'm wondering if this could be something so simple as a stuck (closed) thermostat? Anyway, I probably won't get that lucky. I just wanted to have an idea of what it could be. Or if it is even something I need to worry about.

Whenever the top hose is sucked in, that means you need a new pressure cap.

I ordered a new filler cap based on that part number, from autohausaz.com (was like 14 bucks, plus 5 shipping) . It should be here this week. Thanks for the insightful information and maybe this will fix more than just sucked in hoses. If it fixes the "running hot" issue, I will post again.

It will fix the slight overheating.
