2000 ML 430 MAF code
Ok got another question. Recently I got a check engine light, so I took it to my local parts store and got the code for the MAF sensor. How do I fix this? The vehicle runs fine. can I use some carb cleaner to clean the sensor off and see if that works? or do I have to replace the MAF...

Out Of Control!!
I don't recommend it, but you sound like you just lost you job and therefore you can try with and BS electronic spray, but do not use a tooth brush as the sensors are frail!!
Did you have the code cleared-----if not and you put the MAF back and the code will still be there, but if it was cleared and the fault returns----you are fooooked!! it's new MAF time-----cost of ownership!!

I'm not sure where you got I lost my job but I didnt lol. Anyway was just looking to see if maf leaner would work. If I have to buy a new one then I will but we get a lot of dust here and I figured cleaning it might help...
