Stripped Caliper Bolt 1998 ml320
hi I just picked up a 1998 ml320 and it needed a front brake job. One of the caliper Torx bolts is stripped. I wondered if anyone has and tricks to getting it out. Vice grips? Cut it? Etc...
Thank you in advance for any help

First all thanks for the help Maj. Dundee! I actually wrote the question incorrectly. It wasn't the thread of the bolt it was the actual "star" of the torx bolt that was stripped. What I did to get it out was use a pair of needle nose vice grips to grab the bolt between the rotor and the caliper. I also used another torx socket one size bigger and hammered it into place. Leveraging both the socket wrench and the vice grips after a lot of tugging it came free! Let's just say I was very relieved. Thanks again for the help. This time we're out of the woods and the Ml320 is back on the road.
