W163 ML320 delay before crank
After my car has been sitting for a while (i.e. in the morning) when you turn the key and hold it in the start position there is a 2-5 second delay before the starter cranks. Once the starter engages the engine starts quickly without further issues, there's just a delay before it tries to crank. Is this normal?

The only think you can check yourself with out good diagnostic equipment is battery voltage---what is it(>14v)
Next a shop that can test the starting electrical system(key, control unit, starting relay, starter and voltage)
