Fumoto Engine Oil Valve

Has anyone install on of these on a ML430? If so, is an extension required? Have not changed oil on this yet but plan to do so soon. Here is the web site, www.fumotovalve.com

I've got one that I'll be installing at my next oil change on my ML430. According to their website you need the extension. I've also got one of the valves on my wife RX-7 that didn't need the extension.

Unless I can not find what you found, it only states that the ML320 '98 on needs the adapter. Hopefully someone who has already installed one on a ML430 will respond!!
