Whinning whilst driving
No I am not referring to backseat drivers.
Do you find the whine from the transmission and drive-line to be excessive in you ML? (I know this is subjective - but I find it fairly intrusive at any speed below 40mph. My wife's ML320 has about 44k and is registered in 1999)
Can anyone suggest anything that can be done to reduce the noise - or alternatively thing to look at to ensure there is enough lubricant?
Thanks for your help.

I refer to this as a "Healthy whine." To me it sounds like the tranny is working fine. I guess to me, the alternative would be grinding sounds. Of course, silent would be nice too, but I've never considered it a problem.
