v60s install in ML500

v60s install in ML500
I have a used 2003 ML500 which has the telephone cradle in the bottom/bigger armrest compartment.
I broke-down and bought the new v60s so I could take advantage of this and asked if the dealer could mount the holder in the upper/thinner arm-rest compartment.
Dealer tried, but found that the new cradle for the v60s is a little thicker, so they had to revert to bottom install.
Anyone else experience this -- or is there a special tray/part they can order so it fits above?

There is a deeper storage tray .....
I believe the part number for it is 163 683 0491. It is listed in the 03 Install bulletin for the ML. You can download it from my website at:
