W163 - Driver Power Seat Partially Broken?
Hi,
Wanted some advice on this one. I have a W163 with an issue on the driver side power seat. My config has the memory with 3 memory buttons. back and forward works alright (though there is a stutter once in a while when you pull the lever, keep pulling it would keep it going) and it goes max front and back if needed.
The issue is up and down, it only goes like half and inches up and down. I have another W163 here and that power seat goes way up if you want it to. Also, my back rest works fine back and forth.
But since it works a bit, it goes up and down like 0.5-1 inch only makes me think the motor is alright, what could it be? cables? the operator control unit?
I am taking the seat out tomorrow for spring cleaning, some pointers what to look for would be nice!
