I will start off by saying thanks to everyone in the forums I have learned a lot while reading all the posts. Now on to my issue.

I have replaced a 15 year old battery ( I know WOW!! it lasted this long) and now she wont start or crank.

Here is what I have done thus far (thanks to the forum)
1. checked relay and jumped pins to turn over the starter (good), checked voltage when the key is in the start position on the relay (nothing)
2. Car verifies key and lets me turn it all the way on ( I have used 2 other keys as well all same result)
3. checked all fuses (good)
4. all dash lights stay lit once key is in position 2
5. will not go out of park unless I use the hidden button ( on the dash the place where it says what gear you are in says nothing)

The battery post/s are not making contact with the batter cables.

When you turn the key to pos. #2 do the lights come on the Inst. Cluster?

Did you remove the protective caps on the battery posts before installing?

Posts are good and tight. Clean and making great contact. No plastic on terminals at all all lead .

Yes all lights on the instrument cluster are on and stay on.

Did you happen to change the battery with the key in the ignition?

Insert key in the ign. and turn the key to pos. #2, all the time watching the RED LED. Does it blink once?
