2005 ml500 all dash lights come on key fob does not work and it will not start. Help

Will not start means the the eng. cranks but will not start. Is that the case?

Sorry. Nothing happens i.e. Will not crank, lights radio etc come on but key fob not functioning and key in egnition no function. Thanks

Key in ign., turn the key to position #2, all the time watching the LED. Does the light blink once?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I had undone the battery last night and for the heck of it reconnected it this am and it stared right up. What can you tell me about the blink once with the key at #2 position? As I think I'm not done with this issue. Thanks again Mark

If the LED blinks once, that means the key has been recognized.
