Starting problem with codes P0170 & P0173

Vehicle : 2001 ML430
Miles : 154000

1. The following items replaced because of CEL
and stalling when stop the car on the red light( error code P0100 )
- fuel pump
- fuel filter
- 3 fuel hoses
- battery
- cleaned MAF with CRC
** After replacing fuel pump and filter, car runs well and smooth.

2. Deleted error codes by using ODB2.
After driving about ten miles, new error code comes out( P0170 and P0173 ).
Still car runs really good, but I feel a little vibrating in Idle.
Its starting, but I need to turn the key longer and harder than before when the car sits more than 2-3 hours.

Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions..

thanks,
Mike

03 ML350
Had that same issue on my 03 ml350.

Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, (those did help), bit still had vibration issues andre some power loss at low rpm.
battery died during the winter, so I replaced that and found that the last owners had put a smaller battery in the thing...
about a week after that, I replaced plugs and the problem was gone for about 3 days... then I had 3 coil packs go out almost simultaneously. After replacing those, the car has run perfectly.

Did you remove the MAF Sensor insert to clean the wire?

Remove the MAF insert and at the bottom of it will be a square cut out. In that cut out will be a thin wire which should be bright silver. Spray the wire with CRC.

Today, I run the fuel pressure test, and I got 65-70 psi when start and idle.
The needle keep bouncing in between 65-70.
It supposed to be steady 50 psi.

When I shut off the engine, the pressure immediately drop down to 2-3 psi.

Based on the feedback, it seems the regulator in fuel filter has some problem.
Please send me some advise..
