car was ticking over for 5 min on the drive,then it stopped.
I turn the key it fires for a second or two then just turns over .it will do this every time as if it is out of diesel.
The gauge shows half a tank.

Where was the ticking coming from(specific location)


I would have some one check the rail fuel pressure, or get a second job and have the car quick tested with factory or equal software!

car started first time yesterday,let it run for 10 minutes then went for a drive.
was running perfectly for 7 miles then engine cut out as before .
had to have it recovered home.
The Green flag chap did find no fuel from fuel filter! I has half a tank.

You have to change all the O rings in the low pressure fuel lines. I think that would solve the problem because that's the common way to get air in the system.

THanks for the advice,
I have replaced the seal in the fuel filter and low pressure pump.
Also fitted a fuel primer and a non return valve in the fuel line. cost £7 from Ebay.
Car starts and runs great.
