Question Aftermarket Brake Wear Sensors

So today I've replaced my brake pad and rotors and to complete the process I need to replace the brake wear sensors but I'm having trouble figuring it out. Now the sensors I brought are Oem replacements but I have no idea where to insert the gold piece as it different then the originals. Have any of you used these before? Any help would be great!

You got the wrong sensors, they should look like a probe, not a weird connector thing.

This is the correct one.

Using them is pointless for this car. If you can't tell when your brakes are wearing then you have other problems. Don't spend for them or waste the time installing them. Removing them doesn't affect any dash lights or anything at all.

I ended up just putting the original sensors back in as I didn't have a dash light for them so obviously they're still good. Crazy how Amazon and ebay fitment filter gives you parts that aren't really replacements. Anyway, thanks for the replies!

The wear sensors you received are for 1998-1999 ML's
