I didn't know that, either! Maybe he meant spring spacers?

Usually, aren't the wheel spacers made by the same mfg as the wheel? I know high-end mfgs do, e.g. OZ, HRE, Brabus, Lorinser, etc.

I've read that the wheel spacers need to be machined exactly to the wheel - otherwise slippage occurs and, ultimately, you see one of yer wheels pass you on the road!
