Wheels/Tires

Looking for tires for my 2002 ML500 (W163). Current tire size is 275/55R17. I found a set of 18" ML55 wheels and tires. I know they will fit but I am concerned about speedometer error and other computer related issues.
Does anyone have experience in this area?
Thanks

275/55/17 from ML500 can be replaced by 285/50/18 from ML55 without any problems

These tire sizes are no longer available in North America unless you can find new 'old stock'.
Next size would be 285/55/18 but then..... :

Pirelli Scorpion Zeros seem to be the only ones available in this size.

255/55-18 works fine. Less rubber on the road, but the rolling diameter is virtually the same.
