1999 ML430
Rear Shock Fitment
I am really hoping that someone out there can help me, with a question about the rear shocks for our 1999 ML430. It seems that the aftermarket ones I find, say that fitment is for vehicles without spare tire carrier. Ours has the carrier. Can anyone tel me what will fit, other than going to the dealer and laying out $800 for 2 shocks, or struts depending on the term you prefer to use.

Why are you replacing the rear shocks? If it's because of the way it rides, then that is the way W163 MLs have always been. It's a poor design.
