help how to remove Rail

Trying to do an oil cooler replacement for my 2012 ML350 Bluetec. Come to the point where I have to remove the fuel line and eventually rails. I am able to loosen the the nuts on the rails. I am not sure how to pull out the fuel line. Do I have to remove the leak oil line to injector in order to remove or loosen the fuel line on the other side. Instruction says turn cover counterclockwise on the leak oil line. with rubber tubing inbetween, I am not able to turn counterclockwise.... Please help. Thanks
