Engine continues to run for few seconds after key is removed
I have an ml270 cdi 2004 and it has recently continued to run for a short while after the key is removed. Also the EPC light has come on which The manual says it could be injector related. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Also can I continue to drive it if I keep below 2500rpm?

I'm not familiar with diesel engines and gas MLs do not have that light. That is why I asked about the light.
It's the Electronic Power Control but I have no idea what it means or what it is for.

Thanks anyway, the manual indicates it being an issue with the fuel injection system and not to run it above 2500rpm and take to a garage asap. I have it booked for Friday but wasn't sure if I could get away with a few careful short runs in the meantime, seems to be running on limp mode.
