W163 - Transmission Shift Lever Bushing
Hi,
Working off a list from my mechanic on things my ML needs, and i have managed to due most things myself, with help from this forum, so thanks everyone for that as a start!
The last item on my list that the MB diagnostic mechanic mentioned is that i would need to replace the Transmission Shift Lever Bushing which is OEM part number 210 992 00 10 (AT shift linkage bushing). The bushing is listed as $2 dollar, and the install/adjust portion is 3h shop labor ($425). Is this something that is relatively easy to do myself? Did anyone change this themselves, or if anyone had the workshop manuals on how to replace and adjust? it that would be super handy. If it can be done my myself, i would prefer that than to cash out $400.
appreciate any help on this.

You can do it one of two ways.
1. Disconnect the shift rod clip "D" at the trans. which will make things much easier and follow instructions.
2. Or just follow instructions without removing clip which makes things very tight.
