Unhappy 2000 W163 AMG project

How's it going guys I'm trying to get my truck back rolling after about 3 years of being parked in my driveway. We got it started today , I got the usual lifter tick @ startup/ idle but my friend says I might need a valve job due to blue smoke emitting from both exhaust pipes. I was wondering if this motor is even worth the trouble or should I just order a whole new engine? & would it have to be the SAME exact year for everything to be 100% compatible? I uploaded a video on YouTube the link is
, any advice would be greatly appreciated! - thanks guys

Why was it sitting for 3 yrs.?

If there was no black smoke prior to the layover, then probably the valve stem seals dried out.

My mom use to drive it my senior year 2014, she never got the oil changed properly & by the time I bought it from my father it had the blue smoke, ticking issue. When I took it out today it drove fine honestly for a car that's been stationary for so long. It did throw a CEL once I hit the gas a bit . - CA
