Just had the 40k service, not scheduled but thought it a good thing as it is almost a year since I was in for a service for the ML500.
The hose connectors for the power steering, etc, were replace under recall. I also discovered that the recall had been extended to include replacement of the hose as well!
The car continues to run well. I replaced the OM tires with Yokohama Geolander 275/55-17. Must say they give a better ride and much better all round performance.
Breaks continue to squeal, but only intermittently. They work so well that I'm leery of changing them.
There is still a noise under the dash which starts when you start the car. It goes away after a few seconds, or at most a few minutes. If I turn the car off and restart the noise stops. The dealer has ordered a new part to fix the problem.
My gas tank was not showing full when I filled the tank, even to over flowing. A software upgrade seems to have fixed this problem.
