'00 ML430
oil type for w163 on high mileage vehicles. (over 200k-250k etc.)

Should i use same oil after 250k miles (0w-40 mobil 1) or change it another ?

I burn/leak through thin oils..........I use 10 w 40 with additive to thicken it up

whats the brand of 10w40 oil. and what kind of additives are you using ? i just change oil i put 6.5q 0w40 mobil 1 and 1q lucas oil leak stop and 1q lucas oil stabilizer.
i have a small leak on my oil pan.

I use any name brand 10w40 with 1 qt 20w40 and and Honey no smoke from advance auto ..........keeps everything in check for about 1000 miles.....then have to add a qt

2000 ML320 2006 SLK 350
225,000 miles on my 2000 ML320 - only used 0w40 Mobil 1, all DIY oil changes...not a single leak from the motor yet..nor does it burn oil..I get almost 8.25 qts+ out on each oil change...
