Acceleration problems, Mercedes ML 270 cdi Auto (W163) 2002

Hi guys
All the problems listed below are Acceleration related

1st Problem:
When I start the engine and set off along the road and as I try to accelerate my Rev counter shoots right up to the 4 mark, and the car is not even accelerating, so I have to pull over and turn the engine off, then after about 1 minute I restart the engine and the car is driving normal and accelerating......this happens occasionally

2nd Problem:
As i am driving around normally and go over a slight bump in the road or as i am taking a corner my Rev counter shoots right up to the 4 mark, and readjusts itself after i ease off the acceleration pedal or after approximately 5 seconds .....not sure which but this does happen frequently

3rd Problem:
As I join the motorway slip road, and try to accelerate the Rev counter shoots right up to the 4 mark and above whilst the actual speed acceleration becomes very poor....this happens every time I initially join the motorway

Overall the acceleration is not as it should be for a Mercedes ML 270 cdi Auto....Any Ideas guys ????
Thanks for reading this post

They have an issue with transmission oil leaking out and over the Transmission Box electrical connector making the Auto Transmission behave like crazy. Check under the car find the round connector and see if it's dripping with oil .... That's what I'd check anyway ... Good luck ... Please let us know how you go.

What Neo7 is referring to is the 13 pin connector on the right side of the transmission. Release the bayonet lever and separate. If there is fluid between the two halves, the switch must be replaced.

This problem could be at the eng., trans. or transfer case.

We do not know where you live, but most Euro vehicles do not have a working CEL, Check Eng Light, in the Instrument Cluster. Therefore, there could be codes stored in any module without your knowledge. A
scanner scanner
, not a code reader, is needed to read those codes.

With the eng. off, insert the key in the ign. and turn the key to pos. #2. Does the CEL illuminate?

Hi:
i made next steps:
-Cut-off battery: quit + pole of battery at least 15 minutes with a light on:
The starter was horrible, it was misfiring many cilinders, idle rough but no light or message was stored ( BAS-ESP yes but turning it goes off). Turn off and on and the function was normally, at least i can overtake, consumptions is ok and for now the only problem is that it not goes over 4000-4500 rpm.
-Today i have changed MAF sensor, as i have quit the battery and not run a few the car, i have not any P-Code, but if accelerate, at 4500 it misfires, it cant pass over these rpm it begans to (engine) pitch.

I have purchased a new fuel filter, i think the problem began when fueled in a low cost gas...
Of course updated will attached.
Tank You.

Edited:
Hope your health will be bettter.

Hi all:
At least, with a new gas filter my problems went out. it seems no previous owner changed it never...
Now i have a new car, all problems solved, due to new MAF and Air Filter was changed, i will keep these pieces mounted.
I noticed a problem in the - pole of the battery (the screw was broken) solved that too.
i will post some pics, but in a ml 320 thread.
Thank you all, i hope your healt (both, the car and yourself) solved soon.,
kind regards
