2000 ML 320. Trans is in limp mode. Do these experience the same issues as other Mercedes with be leaking trans connector? Where is the trans control unit on these?

Don't speculate and use the FUYA approach first determine whether the limp is mechanical or electrical---you do that through the use of MB DAS---find a friend!

The 13 pin connector is on the right side of the trans. Remove the small heat shield that covers it. Slide the bayonet clip open and separate the two halves. If there is fluid between the two, then the connector must be replaced. Do not buy this part on-line as the o-rings are not the same size as required. Only buy from the dealer, less than $20.
