Electric Window Problem
Ok guys, got another problem with the ML. When I put the windows up (using the auto-up) the windows close then open again about 2inches. I have a feeling that this is a common thing on other mercs. It doesn't happen all the time.
So what's the problem.............................

Had a similar problem with my 02 ML500 when it was new. Try resynching the windows by holding the switch in the up position for several seconds when the window is all the way up. There is an updated window switch module that eliminates this problem if it is a persistant problem. This came out sometimes in late 02. The new module is applicable to those vehicles that do this regularly even if its been resynched. On mine, the problem was new to MB and they sent an engineer to see my ML and the new module containing new software was develped and it took them about a year to do so. Your dealer can identify the correct module by part number.

You have to hold the button down for at least six seconds, If the battery has been disconnected then there is three things that half to be reset. The windows "auto up funtion", the sunroof "auto back function", and the radio code. Autogunner
P.S. Your window could be hitting the run channel when it gets to the top and that could cause it to kick back down. Autogunner.
