ML500 Electrical Problems
Hi All
Been having a problem with my W163 ML500 for a period of time now. See video here:
The lights are flickering when the car is turned off, as soon as you crank it, the lights stop flickering and everything works fine. I have noticed that the problem occurs when the car is locked using the key, when the lights are put into auto (problem happens when car is turned off) and has recently happened after some heavy rain.
Has anyone else experienced this problem before? Dealer has told me that there is a problem with the front SAM, but cannot guarantee that replacing this will fix the problem. Waiting for part to come in and will see what happens.
Any thoughts are welcome. Link to video incase embedding is not working: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsNJ...ature=youtu.be

Herb04,
I would scan and see what codes you have. Better yet, get a Star scan diagnosis.
Alternatively, pull the instrument cluster and clean all the contacts and connectors, then try again.
