What were the codes before you replaced parts?

The eng. does not have to be running to read codes. Key on and check for codes in the ECM and Trans. Modules.

Okay, got filter and updated lines - after wrangling with THREE Western Washington MB dealers to no avail on the updated lines, was able to source them in Portland (5-6 hrs away) sounded better than waiting til Friday afternoon earliest,, so off I go, humming obscenity laden hymns......thought "would an indy shop wait til Friday for these things?" called one and they said "We'll have them in an hour"(Thanks, Conaway in Everett, WA! only an hour away......
). At pickup, the nice counter lady mentioned that their source was now cleaned out on these..........I've now wrenched an 80 SLC, marveling at the engineering when something needed attention, an 87 300D, the same, a 97 E320, couple of swear words, but overall not bad, then this %&*@# fuel filter........real testament to "oh ****, we forgot to plan for the fuel filter" engineering - then the updated part is worse.......don't let this dissuade you from the repair, but MAN, ...........as I temper tantrumed, my wife pointed out that the car IS twenty years old.....

You should source your parts from here, not the dealer:
