If you own an ML that stalls periodically without any apparant reason at all, or if it seems to stall on corners or bumps, then starts right back up, there is a spot to check:
Make sure you don't have too many keys hanging from your ignition key! What happens is, too many keys on the key ring will cause the key to fold partially. When something moves the keys around enough, such as a corner or bump, the leverage on the key will cause it to turn just enough to shut the ignition off. I've seen more and more people doing this, so I thought it was time to post a memo.

You can prevent this by...
You can prevent this folding/turning off by simply inserting the key the other way. The fob only folds one way, so inserting the key so that the weight of the rest of the chain can only try to open the key even more, rather than folding it closed, avoids the problem.
Of course, there's a limit to how much weight you want hanging from a key - don't want it to snap off altogether!
