question regarding getting a tv tuner for my ml350

Hi guys, im new to this forum. I just got a 2005 ml350 with nav. I was wondering how would i get to watch tv on my nav screen? If anyone has any information, please let me know. Thank you

The Nav-TV system for the MCS (fitted on North American ML's only) runs about $1200 - you have to give them your MCS unit, and they put in a modified one.

But even Nav-TV's system is only for video - they couldn't figure out how to connect an audio line to the ML's (proprietary fiber-optic) audio system. So if you go for that, you'll still have to manage the audio by yourself (FM modulator, Cassette adapter, etc.).

Unlike the NA ML's, which have the ML-only MCS system, ML's sold in places other than North America have the COMAND system, as do all other Mercedes models, in and out of North America. The COMAND system has the capability to take a video input through the TV tuner slot, and in addition also has another auxiliary audio input. So it's much easier to add things to the COMAND than MCS.
