ML320 1998 36mm fan clutch nut removal

Trying to loosen the nut for the fan clutch and it seems to be on there very good. Is it okay to put pb blaster or wd40 on it to help loosen it up a bit?
I am using a pulley holder, a 36mm clutch wrench and turning counter clockwise with the wrench... while looking at the front of the car. Or at least trying to loosen it by going counter clockwise. It won't budge.

Thank you!

Yes, procedure is correct.
pb blaster is fine to loosen. Clean it all off before re-connecting.

Set up the two tool as shown in the PDF. Wrap a towel around the two and and squeeze the two together & hit the wrench with a heave ball peen hammer.

Thank you khomer2 & Maj. Dundee. Now hopefully I can get that thing off to figure out where my leak is coming from!

I cannot get the nut to release. Is it better to remove this nut while the car is warmer or colder? Since heat expands and cold shrinks, I would think cold but looking for expert advice since I cannot get this nut to release. I am using 36mm fan wrench with pulley holder and an extension pipe on the wrench for more torque. I have been applying pb blaster to the nut. Since the nut is a right handed thread, I am trying to loosen it by turning it counter clock wise (towards passenger front tire).
Before taking it to a shop, was hoping for suggestions.
