CD vs DVD Navigation routing?

CD vs DVD Navigation routing?
Has anyone who upgraded from the CD to the DVD drive noticed a difference in Routing?
I mean I am generally happy with the CD navigation but often it chooses fairly roundabout ways to get to a place. I was just wondering if anyone experienced a difference in the way the system picks routes. Better or worse in DVD vs CD?
Any other differences worth mentioning?

the difference between the two, is the dvd has all its stuff on 1 DVD, the CD has several CD's to choose from and can be qiuet pricey too. also, the DVD may have more roads and pathst then the cd's.

Yes anybody with an MCS unit can upgrade to DVD nav at any time. The drive can be added, or replaced with the better unit. Whatever your situation requires... So if you have a 2000 or better ML, with Cd nav, no nav at all, or a single disc cd player, you can install the dvd drive and add the appropriate antenna if yours doesn't already have one.

I juts got an ml 350 special edition, I will like to get a navigation unit, but not from MB, is too expensive, is there any after market that I can get that will work with the MCS unit?
